O lançamento, que aconteceu em um salão de eventos, atraiu políticos com e sem mandato, lideranças locais e populares

O final de semana foi marcado pelo lançamento da pré-candidatura do advogado Sandro à prefeitura de Niquelândia. Nascido no município, Sandro tem raízes profundas na política local e várias influências que o levaram a trilhar esse caminho. Duas dessas influências foram fundamentais: a primeira, o seu saudoso pai, o Brilhante advogado Almir Araújo, de quem herdou não apenas a paixão pelo direito, mas também o amor pela política; a segunda influência vem do atual prefeito de Niquelândia, Dr. Fernando Carneiro, com quem Sandro iniciou sua vida política; advogando e como assessor especial do gabinete. Essas funções deram ao Dr. Sandro a oportunidade de conhecer com precisão o funcionamento da máquina pública e criar elos políticos com autoridades estaduais e federais.
Enquanto secretário, Sandro teve total liberdade na administração e destacou-se por sua habilidade política na gestão complexa da prefeitura de Niquelândia. Ele lidou com a negociação para pagamento de salários atrasados dos professores (TAC), negociações com a justiça para o parcelamento de precatórios e a luta incansável para conseguir limpar o nome de Niquelândia e colocar o município em condições de receber recursos federais novamente. Foi sob sua liderança e comprometimento que o atual prefeito buscou com sucesso o segundo mandato.
Neste sábado, 8 de junho, o MDB oficializou Sandro como pré-candidato da sigla para disputar a prefeitura de Niquelândia. Ele viu toda sua luta valer a pena quando foi aplaudido de pé no salão de eventos Village, no setor Nossa Senhora do Carmo. Ele chegou ao local Ladeado por duas mulheres importantes em sua vida: sua mãe, Vera Bernardes, e sua esposa, Simone Moreira Martins. Logo atrás, um time de peso: o prefeito Fernando Carneiro (PSD), o deputado estadual e atual presidente da Assembleia Legislativa de Goiás, Bruno Peixoto (UB), o deputado estadual Cairo Salim (PSD), o ex-deputado estadual e ex-prefeito de Itumbiara, Zé Antonio, atual diretor de Assistência Social da Assembleia Legislativa, e a secretária de Assistência Social, Juliana Alves Campos. Também foram chamados ao palco vereadores da base e lideranças políticas locais.
Era aguardada a presença do vice-governador Daniel Vilela, presidente estadual do MDB, mas sua ausência não foi justificada. O deputado federal Adriano do Baldy, acometido de conjuntivite, enviou o empresário Romildo da Jaó como representante, enquanto o deputado federal Glaustin da Fokus e o ex deputado Vilmar Rocha gravaram vídeos de apoio que foram exibidos em um enorme telão. Todos declararam apoio à pré-candidatura de Sandro, destacando suas credenciais para o atual momento político e administrativo que Niquelândia vive.
Ao discursar para um salão lotado, formado por familiares, amigos, correligionários e funcionários do município, Sandro agradeceu aos amigos que vieram de outras cidades para prestigiá-lo, principalmente de Brasília, Anápolis, Goiânia e do Pará, de onde veio seu irmão mais novo Almir Araújo Filho, engenheiro na mineradora Vale. Também estava presente o irmão mais velho, o médico cardiologista Leandro Bernardes Araújo, que, segundo Sandro, entrou na disputa política com a chancela dos dois irmãos e o apoio incondicional de sua esposa, Simone Martins, que também é niquelandense.
Dr. Sandro Rocha relembrou as dificuldades administrativas no início do governo tampão em 2018, que, segundo ele, foi muito difícil para o funcionamento da Prefeitura de Niquelândia. Ele afirmou que a prefeitura tinha cerca de R$ 50 milhões em dívidas com a categoria por conta de sete folhas de pagamento em aberto no início do segundo semestre de 2018, apenas um ano e quatro meses após a gestão ter assumido o município em janeiro de 2017.
Sandro fez questão de elogiar o prefeito Fernando Carneiro: “Você, Fernando, sem sombra de dúvidas, não foi o melhor prefeito da história de Niquelândia, mas sim o melhor prefeito do Norte do Estado de Goiás, porque nenhum deles pegou uma prefeitura tão quebrada como aqui em Niquelândia e conseguiu fazer o reequilíbrio econômico da administração,” afirmou ele. “Assumimos o compromisso de colocar tudo isso em dia e, para ser muito franco, nem tinha certeza se conseguiríamos. Porém, já que estávamos ali, tínhamos que enfrentar a greve dos servidores, com salários atrasados, dos quais não poderíamos tirar a razão. Reunimos os secretários no gabinete e decidimos que íamos consertar os erros que os outros gestores cometeram. Sempre priorizamos o pagamento em dia, sem nunca atrasarmos, o que continuaremos fazendo até 31 de dezembro e, se Deus quiser, na próxima gestão,” encerrou.
Ele não poupou críticas à oposição, que, segundo ele, persegue a atual gestão e não tem a atuação política civilizada esperada dentro do processo democrático, mas também reconheceu o grande trabalho feito pelos vereadores da base.
Dentre os discursos de apoio, é importante frisar a tranquilidade do prefeito Fernando Carneiro, que conseguiu arrancar aplausos e risos do público presente, o comprometimento do deputado Bruno Peixoto e a juventude do bom discurso do deputado Cairo Salim. Nos discursos domésticos, o advogado Geraldo Antônio Filho, o Dr. Júnior, e o médico Jean Cintra, ambos comprometidos com o projeto político apresentado pelo agora pré-candidato à prefeitura de Niquelândia, Sandro.
